About Rik

Rik Thorbecke, Chief Financial Officer of ImagineSoftware, is an accomplished finance and operations leader with more than 25 years of international experience in the software, SaaS, internet, cloud, and technology sectors. He has held senior roles at iconic companies including Electronic Arts, Equinix, and Levi Strauss & Co., and has successfully led high-growth organizations such as Virgin Pulse and Magnitude Software through multi-billion-dollar transactions. Rik began his career at PwC, where he became a partner in the global technology practice, advising some of the world’s most innovative companies.

Known for his strategic approach to finance, mergers and acquisitions, and global growth, Rik combines deep technical expertise with a customer-first mindset. His leadership style is grounded in collaboration, transparency, and long-term value creation for both businesses and their stakeholders.

Originally from the Netherlands, Rik and his family now call Phoenix, AZ home. Outside of work, he enjoys time with family and friends over good food and wine, and stays active through running, soccer, hiking, and cycling.

Rik holds a Master of Science in Business Administration, double bachelor’s degrees in Marketing and Economics, and a postgraduate degree in Accounting and Auditing from the University of Amsterdam. He is also a licensed CPA in California.
