Supporting breast cancer screening in Charlotte

Every pint can make a difference.

On September 24, Charlotte Radiology and NoDa Brewing Company brought the community together for the 15th Annual Pink Pint Night. The event raised critical funds for Atrium Health Levine Cancer: Project PINK, which helps local women in need access potentially life-saving breast cancer screenings.

A Community United Around a Lifesaving Mission

Pink Pint Night has become a cherished Charlotte tradition because it combines community, compassion, and a shared commitment to improving access to care.

The 2026 event welcomed supporters to NoDa Brewing Company for an evening featuring live music, great food, an online auction, Pink Pint Night merchandise, and Berry Brave—an exclusive pink brew created in honor of the cause.

While the atmosphere was celebratory, the mission behind the event remained at the center of the evening: helping local women receive the breast healthcare they need.

This year, Pink Pint Night has raised more than $37,000 towards an overall goal of $75,000 for Project PINK.

Every donation, auction bid, merchandise purchase, and pint helped move the organization closer to its goal of expanding access to screening mammograms and breast health services throughout the Charlotte community.

How Project PINK Expands Access to Breast Cancer Screening

For many women, financial limitations and other barriers can make it difficult to obtain routine mammograms. Project PINK works to close that gap by providing free screening mammograms to eligible women in local communities where access is needed most.

In partnership with Charlotte Radiology, Project PINK brings screening services directly into the community through a state-of-the-art mobile breast center. These mobile screening events provide women with convenient access to high-quality breast imaging in a supportive and compassionate environment.

When an abnormality or potential cancer is identified, patients can also receive guidance throughout the next stages of care, from additional diagnostic services to treatment and survivorship.

By bringing breast healthcare closer to the people who need it, Project PINK helps remove barriers that could otherwise delay screening and diagnosis.

Why Early Detection Matters

Breast cancer screening can identify changes before symptoms appear, creating opportunities for earlier diagnosis and treatment. Yet the benefits of early detection can only reach people who have access to screening.

That is why community-based initiatives such as Project PINK are so important. They connect women with essential breast health services while raising awareness about the value of routine mammography.

Pink Pint Night turns that message into meaningful action. What begins as an evening shared with friends, family, and neighbors ultimately helps more women access care that could save their lives.

Support That Continues Beyond Pink Pint Night

The impact of Pink Pint Night extends beyond the event itself. Community members can continue supporting Project PINK throughout the remainder of the year through NoDa Brewing Company’s fundraising initiatives.

During October, NoDa Brewing’s Drink Pink campaign donates a portion of proceeds from Lil Slurp beer sales in the taproom to Project PINK and Carolina Breast Friends. Supporters may also find the beer at participating bars, restaurants, and Harris Teeter locations across the area.

Project PINK is also a featured health beneficiary in NoDa Brewing’s Poured with a Purpose program. Every Tuesday through the end of the year, taproom guests receive a $1 token with each pint purchased and can use it to support a featured organization on the Impact Wall. Round-up donations collected in the taproom during the fourth quarter also benefit Project PINK.

These programs give the Charlotte community additional opportunities to support breast cancer screening and patient care long after Pink Pint Night concludes.

More Than a Fundraiser

Pink Pint Night is more than a single evening or a fundraising total. It is a celebration of survivors, a show of support for those currently facing breast cancer, and a tribute to the lives the disease has touched.

It also demonstrates what can happen when healthcare organizations, local businesses, corporate partners, and community members work together around a shared purpose.
